Adding Photos

The main part of designing a personal photo calendar is choosing the best and most appropriate photos to include. You can design the cover by adding a favorite photo and a calendar title, and you can customize each monthly page in a similar way - choose a photo and write a picture caption. Try to use those photos that are in landscape orientation, cropping them if necessary, because although portrait can be used they will be left with a white border around them when printed.

Family Pictures

Family photos are a very popular addition when creating a personal photo calendar for yourself or to give to a family member as a gift. Use a group photo for the cover and include the family name as the title and then use individual shots and other group photos for each of the monthly pages. Add captions that pass on a personal message from the people in the picture or to narrate the story of the photo.

Holiday Shots

Holiday photos are amassed quickly during virtually any holiday, whether it's a fortnight in Florida or a weekend in Paris. Visiting somewhere new or somewhere that we don't visit often means that we see new and unusual things and the entire point of a holiday is to get away and have fun so remembering the fun we had is also an important part of taking photos. Thanks to digital cameras we also have the capacity to store hundreds of great quality photos; the favorites can be used to print a personal photo calendar.

Hobby Photos

Whether you're creating a birthday gift or other gift for somebody special or want a unique way to design and print your very own personal photo calendar, you can use pictures that relate to just about anything you like. Don't forget that you can even use downloaded images from the Internet and other resources, as well as scanned paper print pictures in order to ensure that you use the photos you really want to include.
